The best part of that email was his near-lack of capitalization of Apple and the last names of a few journalists from WaPo and NTY.

Yes, that, and the fact that he’s advising Jobs on how they can get out of it together. It’s the equivalent of you breaking into my home, grabbing a fragile valuable, and me turning on the lights. I have a gun. You proceed to make suggestions on how best to deal with the situation. I listen until you safely put fragile valuable down safely. Then I shoot you.

Pretty sure that’s how this is going to go.

If the Gizmodo boys worked for the Washington Post and that email was to Obama instead of Jobs and they made the same offer to lie to their readers if Obama would lie to the American people AKA Apple customers, what would happen to that paper? Would they be out of business? Would the editor be in jail? Brian Lam made an illegal offer to trade his readers trust for access and the swift return of Apple property. If the Gizmodo guys really went to J school (my money says they did not) they slept through the ethics class. The other sad thing is the way the bad actors in this play have had zero compassion for the Apple employee that lost his phone. I guess they will now see what it is like to have the shoe one the other foot. Karma is a bitch.
